The pioneers in leading-edge electric mobility
The mobility concept for the forspeed, escooter and ebike experimental vehicles has received the iF product design award 2012. The unconventional experimental vehicles impressed the experts on the international jury panel in the way that they combined urban mobility with the fun factor so typical of the smart.
Both the confidence-exuding design of its radiator grille and the drawn-out lines along its flanks underline in design terms the road-performance credentials of the new M-Class generation. There is acclaim for its design, as proven by the iF design award it has received.

A new face
iF design award for the Concept A-CLASS. The clear and structured design of the showcar gives some pointers to the upcoming generations of Mercedes-Benz cars, and has already convinced the jury for this prestigious design award which has been going since 1953.
With 51.1 percent of the vote, the SLS AMG Roadster was the clear winner of the "auto motor und sport" readers’ "Best Cabriolet Award". The SLK was up on the podium, too, claiming third place with 19.2 percent of the vote.
The Mercedes-Benz CLS won first place for its design ahead of all other luxury segment cars in the 2011 Autonis Awards. As part of its "auto motor und sport" reader awards a design prize is awarded every year for automotive innovations in the preceding twelve months.
According to the readers of "auto motor und sport", the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupé may henceforth call itself the "Most Attractive Mid-Range Car". And with 67.6 percent, this was the largest vote by the readers for any car or category.

22,916 "auto motor und sport" readers have decided that Mercedes-Benz has created the design icon of the car industry. The 300 SL Gullwing attracted 34.9 percent of the readers’ votes and thus took first place amongst the most attractive contemporary classics.
The Concept BlueZERO received the "Green Good Design Award 2010" for outstanding design in sustainable mobility from The Chicago Athenaeum (Museum of Architecture and Design) as part of the renowned "GOOD DESIGN™ Award".
The Mercedes-Benz CLS received the "Best of Best" Award in the "Series-Production Vehicle" category of the "Automotive Brand Contest 2011". The panel of judges particularly commended the structural "dropping line" that slopes away above the front wheel arches.
The BIOME Concept received a "Special Mention" at the "Automotive Brand Contest 2011". The judges were particularly impressed by the BIOME animation produced by the Mercedes-Benz Design Centre California.
The "iF product design award" has recognised innovative product design for more than 50 years. The smart escooter was the recipient of one of the coveted awards in the category "Advances Studies" in 2011.
The Champions League of Design – that's how the organisers of "Designpreis Deutschland" ("German Design Award") refer to their prestigious annual design awards. And the new SLK is right up there in the rankings, receiving a Silver Award as part of the 2012 competition.

An ongoing success story
The new SLK was also recognised at the "red dot design award 2011", receiving a "red dot" for outstanding design. The SLK predecessor model was also the recipient of the coveted design prize in 2004.

Gold and silver for smart mobility concepts
The smart e-mobility concept received a Gold Award as part of the "Focus Open – International Design Awards Baden-Wuerttemberg 2011". The smart ebike, smart escooter and smart forspeed studies were also recipients of Silver Awards.
Both the new E-Class Cabriolet and the F800 Style received the 2010 GOOD DESIGN™ Award, established 60 years ago by Eero Saarinen und Charles Eames, from The Chicago Athenaeum, the renowned design and architecture museum.
Never goes with the flow – defines it: The new E-Class Cabriolet was the only cabriolet to win the coveted red dot design award in 2010. The award has been given out since 1955 under the patronage of the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen in Essen, Germany.
Outstanding in design contests as well: the SLS AMG received the "iF product design award 2010" in the Transportation Design" segment. The iF product design award was established in 1953 and is one of the most prestigious honours in the design world.
Victory after victory: a total of 7 Mercedes-Benz vehicles ranked among the top three in the reader's choice of the Auto Bild Design Award 2010, including the E-Class Estate model, the E-Class Cabriolet and the F800 Style. The SLS AMG triumphed as the overall winner in both Germany and Europe.
